ANALYSIS OF CONSUMERS’ EXPECTATIONS TOWARDS PACKAGING FOR FAST-MOVING CONSUMER GOODS

Summary The aim of the paper was to present the outcome of the survey concerning consumers’ expectations towards packaging for fast-moving consumer goods. This preliminary survey was conducted among 145 people aged 19-24, 25-40, 41-59 and 60-78 in Lublin in 2015. The author showed also basic knowledge of a concept of packaging. The questionnaire showed that consumers paid more attention to information and functionality values than to esthetics of packaging. The element of a good package that was most often itemized was an information aspect. Every third questioned person claimed that a good package should have been harmless for the natural environment.
