Key words:

Summary
This article deals with a new material for the sorption of acidic compounds from water environments. Silica with immobilized polyethoxylated isooctylphenol groups (SiO2-TX) was tested as a sorbent for the solid-phase extraction (SPE) of chlorophenoxyalkanecarboxylic acids (CPACAs). It was found that SiO2-TX sorbent yields better recoveries than SiO2-C18. In order to validate the SPE method natural aqueous samples were used. Linearity was found in a range of 0.025 to 0.4 mg·L−1 and detection limits were between 0.07 and 0.085 mg·L−1. Recoveries were 78–92%, and RSD no more than 1–5%.
