Bottled water in the diet of preschoolers

Key words:

bottled waters, children, consumption.

Summary:

The purpose of this research was to analyze bottled water consumption among preschoolers in comparison to other beverages. The research was conducted in kindergartens (203 responders were surveyed) in accordance with the “face-to-face” and interview questionnaire method among the children between 5 and 6. The test results indicate the diversity of liquids consumed by preschoolers. The majority of them have declared mineral water consumption as being associated most frequently with a play or eating meals. For the significant part of respondents mineral water remains the one of two most popular liquids consumed at home. However, the majority of preschoolers consume flavored waters as well (sugary drinks or flavored waters beverages) which happen mostly outside home area (in a  estaurant or a café).
